This project involved the revitalization and expansion of the Wymilwood Students’ Union Building, designed by architect Eric Arthur and completed in 1954. A new
building addition was sited to allow the full retention of the Eric Arthur building, and the courtyard was enhanced with the removal of a service road. Exterior brick, concrete and stucco were conserved or replaced, and original foundations waterproofed. Inside, terrazzo floors were repaired, the curved stairway and railing restored, damaged wooden window frames reproduced, steel windows stripped and repaired, and the original entry doors restored.
